Guided tour of voestalpine Wire Rod Austria GmbH in St. Peter-Freienstein
The Alumni Club invites the students and alumni of Montanuniversität to a guided tour of the wire rod mill in St. Peter-Freienstein. Here voestalpine Wire Rod Austria operates the world’s most advanced wire rod mill and supplies international industries with high-precision wire material for the most demanding requirements.
Date: June 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM, tour begins at 2:00 PM
Location: Drahtstraße 1, 8792 St. Peter-Freienstein
Gatehouse 7 in front of the main building
Language: English, German
Sturdy footwear and long pants are required.
We kindly request reliable registration due to a limit on the number of participants.

We would like to invite you to an exclusive guided tour of the MuseumCentre! Under the theme "tracks to the past" we will go on an exciting journey through the history of Leoben.
The tour will be held in English and, if required, in German and will last approximately 60 minutes.
After the tour, we cordially invite you to join us for networking in the "Schwarzer Hund" wine bar & vinotheque.

Werksführung: Die Welt des Stahls
Wir freuen uns, Sie zu einer exklusiven Werksführung in der VoestAlpine Donawitz einzuladen!
Diese kostenfreie Werksführung findet in der VoestAlpine Donawitz statt. Erleben Sie den gesamten Produktionsprozess vom Erz bis zur fertigen Schiene, beginnend beim Hochofen über die Stahlerzeugung bis hin zum Schienenwalzwerk mit einem Fußweg von rund 4 km.
Vor der Führung besteht die Möglichkeit im Betriebsrestaurant "Casedo" ein Menü mit bis zu 3 Gängen für unter € 10,- p.P. zu genießen.
Bitte lassen Sie uns bis zum 01.06.2024 wissen, ob Sie an der Werksführung und/oder dem Mittagessen teilnehmen, damit wir entsprechende Vorbereitungen treffen.
