“Reliability and long-term performance of functional thermosets and their fiber-reinforced composites”

Tasks
- Development of functional thermosets
- Preparing neat resin and fiber-reinforced composite specimens
- Detailed study of the ageing stability of dynamic polymer networks and their composites
- Investigation of the fatigue behaviour of fiber-reinforced dynamic covalent polymer networks
- Evaluation of the aging behaviour of frontally polymerizable epoxy-based fiber-reinforced composites
- Close cooperation with national and international scientific project partners
- Communication of research results to the scientific community (e.g. papers in peer-reviewed journals, oral/poster presentations at national and international conferences)
Required skills
- Completed Master degree in the field of polymer engineering or materials science
- Knowledge in the field of polymer science and polymer characterization is mandatory
- Experience in material characterization of fiber reinforced composites
- Structured and independent way of working
- Personal initiative, reliability, responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills with the ability to interface with company partners and other researcher organizations
- Fluent proven domain of English language is mandatory, basic knowledge of German is an advantage
