Master Thesis: Adapting LLMs to yield tractable probabilistic models for materials discovery
ReferenceNr.: MCL_269
Your Profile
- Master‘s study programme in computer science, applied mathematics, data science, material science or similar.
- Good communication skills (D/E).
- Lecture on Large Language Models (LLM).
- Basic knowledge of LLMs for code generation or a lecture on probabilistic modelling /programming.
- Basic knowledge of inference algorithms or interest in modelling process – structure –property relationships of materials.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Together with other students from Graz University of Technology, Vienna University of Technology and Montanuniversität Leoben you will explore the limits of current large language models (LLMs) with respect to creating tractable probabilistic models and expressing them in probabilistic programming languages (PPLs). Depending on your background, you might also explore LLMs to model process – structure –property relationships of selected materials.
Be part of charting and pushing the limits of current LLMs!
