About the job

As an Operations trainee, you will report directly to the Head of Operations Excellence. You will be an integral part of our Operations teams, closely collaborating to implement and sustain lean methodologies. Together with our experts in operations, you will gain experience in various operational processes to understand the nuances of our refractory business. We are currently ramping up a world-class manufacturing system and your close assistance would be required. With your outstanding communication skills, you will ensure seamless coordination and alignment of project activities in this field. You will understand and analyze our challenges and coordinate with our regional operations team to come up with innovative solutions. In this position, you will frequently travel to customer sites and production plants.

In addition, your tasks will include

  • Supporting day-to-day operational activities
  • Gathering and analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Participating in internal training programs focused mainly on lean principles and operational excellence
  • Engaging in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency regionally

The recruitment process for the Global Trainee Program is a multi-stage process that spans several months from February 2024 to May 2024. The stages include the Video Application stage, the Interview stage, and the Assessment Center stage. Successful candidates will be issued their contracts in June 2024 and will start their position in September 2024.

What we expect from you in terms of

Education & Skills

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering or any field of similar relevance
  • Data analytic skills and high affinity with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
  • Basic knowledge of the refractory industry

Languages

  • English – Proficient/Fluent
  • Any other language is considered as an asset

Work Experience

  • Initial work experience (internships etc.) in the manufacturing field of operations and lean

The annual gross salary for this position will start from €50.286,00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualifications as well as the amount of overtime. We will make sure to offer you a competitive salary package that values your relevant background and that’s in line with market values.
